Yoichi 1985 SMWS
Yoichi 1985 is a single malt whisky from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS). It was distilled in 1985 at the Yoichi distillery in the Hokkaido region of Japan. The whisky was aged for 22 years in a first-fill sherry butt before being bottled in 2007. This whisky has a rich and complex nose with notes of dried fruits, toffee, spice, and leather. On the palate, it has a smooth and creamy texture with flavours of dried fruits, nuts, and oak. The finish is long, with lingering notes of sherry and spice. This whisky is a great example of the quality and complexity of Japanese single malt whisky.
