Talisker 1957 GM
Talisker 1957 GM is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Skye distillery, owned by Diageo. It was distilled in 1957 and bottled in 2015, making it one of the oldest whiskies ever released by the distillery. The whisky was aged for 58 years in refill American oak hogsheads, and was bottled at a natural strength of 48.8% ABV. It is a limited edition bottling of only 888 bottles, and is highly sought after by collectors. It has a deep, smoky aroma with notes of honey, toffee and dried fruits, and a rich, complex palate of peat smoke, oak, spice and dried fruits. The finish is long and warming, with a lingering smokiness.
