Springbank 1996 DT
Springbank 1996 DT is a limited edition single malt whisky from the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland. The whisky was distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2013, making it 17 years old at the time of release. It was matured in a combination of sherry, bourbon and hogshead casks and bottled at a cask strength of 46.5% ABV. The whisky has a light gold color and a nose of honey, toffee, vanilla, and dried fruits. On the palate, it is sweet and smooth, with notes of caramel, oak, and dried fruits. The finish is long and sweet, with a hint of spice. This whisky is a great example of the unique style of whisky produced at the Springbank Distillery.
