Springbank 1996

Springbank 1996 is a single malt Scotch whisky produced by the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland. It was distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2012. The whisky is a vatting of two casks, one a sherry hogshead and the other a bourbon hogshead. It was bottled at cask strength, without chill-filtration or added coloring, and is non-chill filtered. The whisky has a deep golden color and a complex nose of dried fruit, honey, toffee, and spice. On the palate, the whisky is full-bodied and rich, with notes of dried fruit, caramel, and spice. The finish is long and lingering, with a hint of smoke.
