Springbank 1989 SMWS 27.51 is a single cask whisky from the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. It was bottled in February 2019 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) and was distilled in April 1989. It was aged for 29 years in a refill sherry butt and yielded just 474 bottles. The whisky has a deep amber color and a nose of soft fruits, marzipan, and toasted almonds. On the palate, there are notes of dark chocolate, dried fruits, and a hint of smoke. The finish is long and complex with a sweet and spicy character.
