Springbank 1989 Private Bottling is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Campbeltown distillery of the same name. It was distilled in 1989 and bottled at cask strength in 2020. The whisky was matured in a single sherry cask for 31 years before being bottled. It has a deep amber color and aromas of dried fruit, toffee, and sherry. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied with flavors of dark chocolate, dried fruit, and oak. The finish is long and lingering with notes of sweet sherry and spice. This whisky is a great example of the quality and complexity that can be achieved with long maturation.
