The whisky was matured for 47 years in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks. It was bottled at cask strength, without chill-filtration or added colouring. The whisky has a light golden colour with aromas of dried fruit, spice, and toffee. On the palate, it is sweet and rich, with notes of honey, dried fruit, and spice. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering notes of dried fruit and spice. Springbank 1965 is a rare and sought-after whisky, with only 600 bottles produced.
