Port Ellen 1982 DL
Rare Malts Port Ellen 1982 DL Rare Malts is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 1982 at the Port Ellen Distillery on the Isle of Islay. It was bottled in 2006 as part of Diageo's Rare Malts Selection, a series of single cask bottlings of whiskies from closed Scottish distilleries. The whisky was aged in an ex-sherry cask and is non-chill filtered. This whisky has a deep amber color and a sweet, smoky, and slightly peaty aroma. On the palate, the whisky is smooth and creamy with notes of dried fruits, nuts, and toffee. The finish is long, sweet, and smoky. This whisky is highly sought after and is considered to be one of the best whiskies ever produced.
