Macallan 1998 SMS is a limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky from the Macallan distillery. It was released in 1998 as part of the Special Selection series and is made from a mix of sherry-aged and bourbon-aged whiskies from the distillery. The result is a complex whisky with notes of dried fruit, malt, and oak on the nose, and a sweet, spicy palate with notes of honey, orange, and vanilla. The finish is long and smooth, with a hint of smoke.
