Macallan 1988 DL
Macallan 1988 DL is a limited edition single malt Scotch whisky released by the Macallan Distillery. It was distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2001. The whisky is a rare expression of Macallan and has been matured for 13 years in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks. The whisky has a deep amber color with notes of dried fruit, vanilla, and oak on the nose. The palate is smooth and complex, with hints of spice and sweet sherry. The finish is long and lingering, with a hint of smoke. This is an excellent whisky for those who appreciate the complexity of a well-aged single malt.
