The Macallan 1980 Single Vintage (SV) is a limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky that was released in 2020 as part of the Macallan’s Exceptional Single Cask series. It was distilled in 1980 and matured for 40 years in a single sherry-seasoned European oak hogshead cask. The whisky has an ABV of 44.5% and is presented in a luxury hand-blown crystal decanter with a stopper made from Scottish oak. The whisky has a rich, complex flavor profile, with notes of dried fruits, spices, and toasted oak. It has a long, lingering finish with a hint of sweetness.
