Macallan 1979 DL is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Macallan distillery in Speyside, Scotland. It was distilled in 1979 and bottled in 2004. This whisky was released as part of a series of limited edition whiskies from Macallan. It was aged in sherry casks for 25 years before bottling, and has a deep golden color. On the nose, it has notes of honey, dried fruits, and a hint of smoke. On the palate, it is smooth and sweet with notes of dried fruits, nuts, and a hint of spice. The finish is long and lingering with a hint of oak. This whisky is a great example of the quality and complexity that Macallan has to offer.
