Macallan 1979
Macallan 1979 is an 18-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from the Macallan Distillery. It was distilled in 1979 and bottled in 1997. It was aged in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks and bottled at a strength of 43% ABV. The whisky has a rich, sweet nose with notes of dried fruit, honey, and spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex, with notes of raisins, dried cherries, leather, and oak. The finish is long and lingering, with notes of smoke and chocolate. Macallan 1979 is a rare and highly sought after whisky, and a great example of the quality of Macallan's whisky.
