Longrow 1993
Longrow 1993 was a single malt Scotch whisky released by Springbank Distillery in 1993. It was the first ever Longrow bottling, and it was made using heavily peated malt, which was double distilled in traditional wooden washbacks. The whisky was matured in both bourbon and sherry casks for a period of 10 years before being bottled at 46% ABV. It has a deep golden colour and a nose of smoky peat, citrus, and sweet malt. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex, with notes of peat smoke, dried fruits, and a hint of sea salt. The finish is long and smoky, with a hint of sweetness. Longrow 1993 is a classic whisky that is highly sought after by collectors and whisky enthusiasts alike.
