Linkwood 1956 CA
Linkwood 1956 is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 1956 at the Linkwood Distillery in Elgin, Scotland. It was aged for 40 years in oak casks before being bottled in 1996. The whisky was bottled at cask strength of 54.2% ABV and has a deep golden color. It has a complex nose with aromas of toasted malt, dried fruits, and a hint of peat smoke. On the palate, it has a rich, full-bodied flavor with notes of honey, caramel, and dried fruits. The finish is long and lingering with a hint of smoke. Linkwood 1956 is a rare and sought-after whisky, and is considered to be one of the best single malts from the 1950s.
