Karuizawa 1991
Karuizawa 1991 is a single malt whisky from the Karuizawa Distillery in Japan. The whisky was distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2014, making it one of the oldest Japanese single malt whiskies ever released. It was distilled from 100% malted barley and aged in ex-sherry casks for 23 years before being bottled at cask strength. The whisky has a deep, rich flavor with notes of dried fruits, sherry, and oak. It has a long finish with a hint of smoke and spice. The whisky is highly sought after and can fetch a high price on the secondary market.
