Karuizawa 1988
Karuizawa 1988 is a rare and highly sought-after single malt whisky from Japan's Karuizawa distillery. It is made from 100% malted barley and aged in a combination of ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks for over 20 years. The whisky has a deep golden colour and a rich, complex nose of dried fruits, honey, and spices. On the palate, it is smooth and creamy, with notes of sweet toffee, dried fruits, and a hint of smoke. The finish is long and lingering, with a hint of oak and a touch of spice. It is a very highly prized whisky, and bottles can fetch high prices on the secondary market.
