Karuizawa 1972
Karuizawa 1972 is a single malt whisky from the Karuizawa distillery in Japan. It was distilled in 1972 and bottled in 2008. It was aged in sherry casks for 36 years, making it one of the oldest Japanese whiskies ever released. The whisky has a deep golden color, with aromas of dried fruits, nuts and spices. On the palate, it has flavors of honey, orange, caramel and oak. It is a very rare whisky, with only 600 bottles released, and is highly sought after by collectors.
