Hanyu 1991
Hanyu 1991 is a Japanese whisky made by the Hanyu distillery, a family-owned distillery located in the city of Chichibu in the Saitama Prefecture. Founded in 1940, the distillery is one of the oldest whisky makers in Japan. Hanyu 1991 is a single malt whisky that was aged for 18 years in a combination of bourbon barrels, sherry casks, and Japanese oak casks. The result is a whisky that is full of dried fruit, spice, and oak flavors, with a smooth and balanced finish. Hanyu 1991 is a highly sought-after whisky due to its rarity, and it has been awarded numerous awards, including a gold medal at the International Spirits Challenge in 2003.
