Hanyu 1988
Hanyu 1988 is a Japanese whisky brand created by the Hanyu Distillery in 1988. It is a blended whisky, made from malt and grain whiskies from the distillery's own stocks, as well as from other distilleries. The whiskies used in the blend are aged in oak barrels for a minimum of three years. The whisky is bottled at 40% ABV. Hanyu 1988 is characterized by a sweet and fruity nose, with notes of apples, pears, and a hint of smoke. On the palate, it is smooth and mellow, with a light spiciness and notes of caramel, honey, and nuts. The finish is long and lingering, with a hint of oak.
