Glenfarclas 1965
Glenfarclas 1965 is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Speyside-based Glenfarclas distillery. This expression was released as part of the distillery’s Family Casks series, and it was distilled in 1965. It was aged for 48 years in a single sherry butt, and it was bottled in 2013 at a cask strength of 45.9% ABV. The whisky has a deep golden color, and its nose is filled with notes of sweet dried fruits, oak, and toffee. The palate is full-bodied and complex, with flavors of malt, toffee, dried fruits, and a hint of smoke. The finish is long and smooth, with a lingering sweetness.
