Glendronach 1972

Glendronach 1972 is a single malt whisky from the Glendronach distillery in Scotland. It was distilled in 1972 and bottled in 2009. It is a limited edition release and has become highly sought after due to its rarity. The whisky is aged for 37 years in a combination of Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. It is bottled at a cask strength of 51.7% ABV. The whisky has a deep mahogany color and a rich nose of dried fruits, toffee, leather and spices. The palate is smooth and silky, with flavors of dried fruits, sherry, oak and a hint of smoke. The finish is long and lingering, with hints of spice and dried fruits.
