ibbon’s Provenance Dalmore 1996 McGibbon’s Provenance is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Dalmore distillery in Scotland. It was distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2011. It is part of the McGibbon’s Provenance Range which is a series of limited edition whiskies that are non-chill filtered and bottled at natural colour. This particular whisky was initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in Matusalem oloroso sherry casks. It has a deep golden colour and a nose of sweet orange marmalade, dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans. The palate is rich and full-bodied with notes of toasted almonds, honey and dried fruits. The finish is long and smooth with a hint of spice.
