Dalmore 1978 SMWS 13.15
Dalmore 1978 SMWS 13.15 is an incredibly rare single malt whiskey, distilled in 1978 and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) in 2018. It was aged for 40 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead cask, and was bottled at a cask strength of 55.6% ABV. The nose is sweet and fruity, with notes of ripe banana, sweet melon, toffee, and vanilla. On the palate, there is a smoky oak character, with notes of honey, caramel, and dried fruits. The finish is long and complex, with a hint of spice. This is an incredibly rare and sought-after whiskey, and it is an absolute delight to drink.
