Bruichladdich 40-year-old is a single malt Scotch whisky released by the Islay distillery in 2020. It is a limited edition expression that has been aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks for 40 years before being bottled at a natural cask strength of 48.9%. The whisky has a deep golden hue and a nose of dark fruits, caramel, toffee, and dried figs. On the palate, there are notes of honey, toffee, sherry, and a hint of peat smoke.
