Bowmore 2000 SMWS 3.133 is a single malt whisky from the Islay distillery Bowmore. It was distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2018 as part of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) range. The whisky was matured in a refill hogshead for 18 years before being bottled at a cask strength of 57.8% ABV. The nose has notes of toasted oak, honeycomb, dark chocolate and dried fruits. The palate is full bodied and oily with flavours of sweet vanilla, dried fruit, toasted oak, spice and smoke. The finish is long and smoky with a hint of peat.
