Bowmore 1999 HMcD is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled at the Bowmore Distillery in Islay, Scotland. It was bottled in 1999 by the independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. and released as part of the Old and Rare series. This whisky is a vatting of two ex-bourbon casks and one ex-sherry cask, and was bottled at a cask strength of 50.6% abv. It has a deep golden color and aromas of dried fruits, honey, and toasted oak. On the palate, it is smooth and sweet with flavors of dried apricot, honey, toasted oak, and leather. The finish is long and sweet with a hint of smoke.
