ibbons Provenance Bowmore 1997 McGibbons Provenance is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Bowmore distillery in Islay, Scotland. It was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2019. The whisky was matured for 22 years in ex-bourbon barrels, with the last two years of maturation taking place in Oloroso sherry casks. The whisky has a deep golden colour with aromas of sweet honey, toasted oak, vanilla and dried fruits. On the palate, it has a rich and creamy texture with notes of toasted almonds, dark chocolate and a hint of peat smoke. The finish is long and smooth with a hint of spice.
