Bowmore 1997 DL
Bowmore 1997 DL is a single malt whisky from the Bowmore Distillery in Islay, Scotland. It was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2021 as part of the Distiller's Library series. It is a limited edition release and only 1,000 bottles were made. It has been aged for 23 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. It has a deep amber color and a complex aroma of honey, caramel, and peat smoke. On the palate, it is rich and sweet with notes of dried fruit, toffee, and smoke. The finish is long and lingering with a hint of peat smoke. This whisky is a great example of a classic Islay whisky and is sure to be a favorite of whisky lovers everywhere.
