Bowmore 1996 HB is a single malt Scotch whisky produced by the Bowmore Distillery in Islay, Scotland. The whisky was distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2014 at a cask strength of 58.4% ABV. It was aged for 18 years in ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in ex-Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. The whisky has a deep golden color and an aroma of honey, toffee, and oak. On the palate, the whisky is sweet and creamy, with flavors of vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak. The finish is long and smooth, with notes of smoke and spice.
