Bowmore 1996 DL is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Bowmore distillery in Islay, Scotland. It was distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2016. It is part of the Distiller's Library range from Bowmore, which includes whiskies from different vintages and casks. This whisky was aged in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks and bottled at 43% ABV. It has a deep golden color and a complex nose of toffee, honey, sherry, and peat. On the palate, there are notes of vanilla, oak, and smoke, with a long finish of sweet fruit and smoke.
