It was released as part of the Rare Malts Selection, a range of whiskies bottled by Diageo that showcased some of Scotland’s rarest and most sought-after single malts. This Bowmore was distilled at the distillery in Bowmore, Islay, and was matured in ex-bourbon casks for 10 years before bottling. It has a medium-bodied palate with sweet, smoky, and peaty notes, as well as a hint of fruit. The finish is long and lingering.
