Bowmore 1990 DR
Bowmore 1990 Distiller's Reserve is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Bowmore distillery on the isle of Islay. It was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2008. The whisky was aged in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks for 18 years, giving it a complex flavor profile. The whisky is a deep amber color with aromas of dried fruits, toffee, and a hint of smoke. On the palate, there are flavors of dark chocolate, dried fruits, and a hint of smoke. The finish is long and smooth with a hint of peat smoke. This whisky is a great example of Bowmore's signature style of smoky, sweet, and complex single malt Scotch.
