Bowmore 1989 SMWS 3.60 is a single malt whisky from the Bowmore distillery in Islay, Scotland. It was bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) in December of 2011. It was distilled in 1989 and aged in an ex-bourbon hogshead for 22 years before being bottled at a cask strength of 58.2% ABV. It has a deep golden color and a nose of honey, toffee, and sweet apples. On the palate, it has flavors of vanilla, caramel, and citrus, with a hint of smoke. The finish is long and lingering, with notes of oak and spice.
