Bowmore 1989 JW is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Bowmore distillery on the Isle of Islay. It was distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2019 by John Walker & Sons as part of their Rare Cask Series. It is a limited edition single malt, with only 8,000 bottles available worldwide. The whisky has been matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks, giving it a complex and rich flavor profile. On the nose, it displays aromas of honey, citrus, and smoky peat. On the palate, it is full-bodied and creamy, with notes of dark chocolate, dried fruits, and a hint of smoke. The finish is long and smooth, with a lingering sweetness.
