Bowmore 1989 DoD
Bowmore 1989 DoD is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Islay distillery of Bowmore. It was distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2006 by Douglas Laing & Co. as part of their Distillers Edition range. This whisky is aged in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in Oloroso sherry casks, giving it a complex and intense flavor profile. The nose is full of dried fruits, sherry, and smoky peat, while the palate has notes of sweet toffee, dried fruits, and a hint of smokiness. The finish is long and lingering, with a hint of sweetness. This whisky is a great example of a well-aged Islay single malt and is sure to please whisky enthusiasts.
