Bowmore 1988 SV is a limited edition single malt Scotch whisky released by Bowmore Distillery in Islay, Scotland. It was distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2013, making it 25 years old. The whisky is a vatting of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, resulting in a complex and balanced flavour profile. On the nose it has aromas of honey, citrus, and peat smoke. On the palate, it is sweet, with notes of vanilla, toffee, sherry, and oak. The finish is long and smoky, with hints of spice.
