Bowmore 1988 SV
Bowmore 1988 SV is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Bowmore distillery on Islay. It was bottled in 2008 and released as part of the Bowmore Single Vintage series. The whisky was aged in a combination of first-fill and refill American oak ex-bourbon barrels and finished in Oloroso sherry casks. It has a deep golden color and aromas of honey, vanilla, and citrus. On the palate, it is rich and creamy with flavors of toasted oak, dried fruits, and a hint of peat smoke. The finish is long and complex with a hint of spice.
