Bowmore 1988 SV is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Bowmore Distillery in Islay, Scotland. It was distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2011. It is a limited edition bottle and was released in a very small quantity. The whisky has a deep golden color and a nose of peat smoke, citrus fruits, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is smooth and creamy, with notes of honey, toasted oak, and a hint of peat smoke. The finish is long and complex, with a lingering smokiness.
