Bowmore 1982 Single Vintage (SV) is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Bowmore distillery, located on the Isle of Islay in Scotland. The whisky was distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2011, making it 29 years old. It was matured in a combination of refill bourbon barrels and sherry butts and then bottled at natural cask strength of 56.9% ABV. The whisky has a deep golden hue and a nose of peat smoke, toffee, and dried fruit. On the palate, it is smooth and mellow with notes of sweet sherry, dark chocolate, and a hint of peat smoke. The finish is long and lingering with a hint of smoke and spice. This is a rare and sought-after whisky and is highly regarded by whisky connoisseurs.
