Bowmore 1982 DT
Bowmore 1982 Distiller's Edition is a single malt whisky from the Bowmore Distillery in Islay, Scotland. It was distilled in 1982 and bottled in 1995. The whisky has been double matured in two different types of casks. First, the whisky was matured in a bourbon cask for 12 years, and then it was finished in a sherry cask for an additional 3 years. The whisky is bottled at 43% ABV and has a rich and complex flavor profile. It has notes of honey, smoke, toffee, dark fruits, and a hint of peat. The finish is long and smooth with a hint of sweetness. This whisky is considered to be one of the finest examples of Bowmore's Distiller's Edition range.
