Bowmore 1968
Bowmore 1968 is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Bowmore distillery on the island of Islay. It was distilled in 1968 and bottled in 2017 after maturing for 49 years in a sherry cask. The whisky was bottled at natural cask strength of 48.6% ABV and is limited to only 121 bottles. It has a deep amber colour and aromas of dried fruits, sherry, toffee, and smoky peat. On the palate, it has a smooth and balanced flavour profile with notes of sweet honey, dried fruits, and smoky peat. The finish is long and lingering with a hint of spice.
