Bowmore 1966 DT
Bowmore 1966 DT is a rare and highly sought-after single malt Scotch whisky from the Islay-based Bowmore distillery. It was distilled in 1966 and bottled in 1990 by Douglas Laing & Co. as part of their Old Malt Cask series. It is an exceptionally rare and limited release, with only 60 bottles produced. The whisky was matured in a single sherry cask and bottled at a natural cask strength of 50.9% abv. It has a deep golden color, with aromas of honey, dried fruits, and smoky peat. On the palate, it has a sweet and smoky flavor with notes of caramel, toffee, and dried fruits. The finish is long and smooth, with a lingering smokiness. This is an exceptional whisky with a great balance of flavors and a smooth finish.
