Bowmore 1965 It
is a single malt whisky from Bowmore Distillery, located on the Isle of Islay in Scotland. It was distilled in 1965 and bottled in 1987, making it 22 years old. It was matured in oak casks and bottled at a strength of 43% ABV. The whisky has a golden amber colour and a nose of peat smoke, dried fruits and spices. On the palate it is smooth and sweet with notes of caramel, honey and vanilla. The finish is long and lingering with a hint of smokiness. This whisky is highly sought after and is considered to be one of the best Bowmore expressions ever bottled.
