Bowmore 1955
Bowmore 1955 is a single-malt Scotch whisky from the Bowmore distillery on Islay. It was released in 2020 and is considered one of the oldest and rarest Bowmore expressions ever released. The whisky was distilled in 1955 and matured for over 65 years in a single cask of first-fill Oloroso sherry. It was bottled at cask strength of 43.2% ABV and only 149 bottles were made available worldwide. The whisky is described as having notes of sweet vanilla, dried fruits, toasted oak, and smoky peat. It has a long, smooth finish with a hint of smoke. The whisky is highly sought after by collectors and connoisseurs alike, and is considered one of the finest expressions of Bowmore.
