Avonside 1938 AsW

Avonside 1938 ASW was a British steam locomotive built by the Avonside Engine Company in Bristol in 1938. It was a 4-6-0 tender locomotive, designed for use on express passenger services. The locomotive was built for the Great Western Railway, and was one of the last locomotives to be built for the company before its nationalisation in 1948. The locomotive was withdrawn from service in 1965 and is now preserved at the National Railway Museum in York.
