CAMPBELTOWN MALTS FESTIVAL 2022 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS AND BOOKING INFORMATION Announcement: Public Information This is a joint statement from Cadenhead’s, Springbank and Kilkerran. We are pleased to announce the first detailed information for the Campbeltown Malts Festival 2022. Springbank Open Day – Thursday 26th May Glengyle and Cadenhead’s Open Day – Friday 27th May Below, you will find all the relevant information regarding our events and tastings across the festival as well as information on how to purchase tickets. HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS All tickets for our events during the festival will be available via the Eventbrite ticketing website. Tickets for our Thursday and Friday events will be available to purchase from Wednesday 23rd March 2022 at 2pm (UK time). There will be a maximum of 2 tickets per person available for each tasting and please note (this is important!) that once you have added an item to your basket, you will have 20 minutes to complete the payment before the tickets are removed from your basket. Some tastings do overlap in time so it will not be possible to do all of them. All tastings will last approximately 1 hour, except for the Springbank Warehouse Tastings on Thursday which will last approximately 45 minutes. Thursday 26th May 2022 SPRINGBANK OPEN DAY The Springbank Open Day will begin at 10am when the sale of our special Open Day bottles will commence. In addition to the tastings listed below, there will be free distillery tours, local craft and food stalls, bars, exclusive bottlings and much more happening throughout the day. Events at Springbank will conclude around 6:30pm. The tastings taking place during the Springbank Open Day (excluding events that are only bookable on the day) will be available to book on Eventbrite from Wednesday 23rd March at 2pm (UK time). Details of each can be found below: 11:30am: The Hazelburn Tasting – £30.00 We kick off our Open Day with a Hazelburn Tasting. Join our team as we explore the Hazelburn range and try some exclusive cask samples and the soon to be released 21yo for what promises to showcase the best of our triple distilled whisky. 11:30am: The Art (and Science) of Distillation – £30.00 Join Director of Production Findlay Ross and Operations Assistant Lea Watson as they unveil the art and science of whisky distillation at Springbank, accompanied by a range of whiskies. 12:30pm: Springbank Warehouse Tasting – £30.00 Sample a selection of the finest whiskies from Springbank, hand-drawn from the cask in one of our traditional warehouses by a senior member of the production team. 12:30pm: Malting Demonstration – Free (ONLY BOOKABLE ON THE DAY) Watch a member of our production team demonstrate our traditional malting process while enjoying a dram of one of our most popular whiskies. This free event serves as an excellent opportunity to learn about Springbank and maybe even try turning the barley yourself! Tickets are only available to book on the day so make sure you head straight for the ticket point to book and collect your tickets. 1:30pm: Springbank Tasting – £30.00 (ONLY BOOKABLE ON THE DAY) Only available to book on the day, you can join one of our Sales Team in enjoying a selection of drams from across the Springbank range, from our firm favourites to the most recent releases. Whether new to Springbank or an old hand, this tasting has something for everyone. Tickets can be purchased from our ticket point on the day. 1:30pm: The Springbank 30yo Tasting – £150.00 Be among the first in the world to try the new Springbank 30yo. Not only will participants be able to sample this monumental whisky for the first time, they will be guided through the methodology and cask selection process, sampling all 6 of the individual component casks which were vatted together to create this 30yo masterpiece. 2:30pm: Springbank Warehouse Tasting – £30.00 Sample a selection of the finest whiskies from Springbank, hand-drawn from the cask in one of our traditional warehouses by a senior member of the production team. 2:30pm: Longrow Single Cask Tasting – £50.00 A number of 21yo and 23yo single cask bottlings are being released to selected markets around the world. This tasting will allow participants to sample 6 of these rare bottlings in a single sitting for a truly unique tasting experience. 2:45pm: Malting Demonstration – Free (ONLY BOOKABLE ON THE DAY) Watch a member of our production team demonstrate our traditional malting process while enjoying a dram of one of our most popular whiskies. This free event serves as an excellent opportunity to learn about Springbank and maybe even try turning the barley yourself! Tickets are only available to book on the day so make sure you head straight for the ticket point to book and collect your tickets. 4:15pm: Springbank; New and Forthcoming Releases – £30.00 A chance to join us as we try some of the most recent and upcoming limited releases from Springbank Distillers. 4:30pm: Springbank Warehouse Tasting – £30.00 Sample a selection of the finest whiskies from Springbank, hand-drawn from the cask in one of our traditional warehouses by a senior member of the production team. PLEASE NOTE: The Malting Demonstrations will last for 30 minutes. The Springbank Warehouse Tastings will last for 45 minutes. All other tastings during the Springbank Open Day are scheduled for 1 hour. Some of the tastings will overlap so please be aware of this when making your selections. Tasting locations will be shared at a later date. Tickets for tastings that are only bookable on the day are not available on Eventbrite and must be purchased from our ticket point at Springbank Distillery on the morning of the Open Day. Friday 27th May 2022 GLENGYLE AND CADENHEAD’S OPEN DAY The Glengyle and Cadenhead’s Open Day will kick off at Glengyle Distillery at 10am when the sale of our special Kilkerran Open Day bottle will commence. The day will feature a range of tastings which are listed below as well as free distillery tours, local craft and food stalls, a cocktail bar and the very popular Cadenhead Lucky Dip Bar. Events at Glengyle will conclude around 6:30pm. The tastings taking place during the Glengyle and Cadenhead’s Open Day will be available to book on Eventbrite from Wednesday 23rd March at 2pm (UK time). Anyone who participates in our Cadenhead’s Warehouse Tasting will have the opportunity to purchase anything they have tasted at the end. 12:15pm: The Big Kilkerran Tasting – £30.00 Join our sales team for the main Kilkerran tasting of the day where we will cover the full spectrum of Kilkerran. From core range classics to rare cask samples from the deepest recesses of our warehouse, there will be lots to taste and discuss. 2pm: The Big Cadenhead’s Tasting – £40.00 Join the Cadenhead’s Team while they showcase six big and exciting drams selected from the array of casks currently maturing in the warehouses in Campbeltown. Be the first to taste these exquisite samples that will be in the pipeline to be bottled in the future. You will also be given an opportunity to taste the Cadenhead’s open day bottling which will launch directly after the tasting in celebration of Campbeltown Malts Festival. This tasting should not be missed. 3:15pm: The Wee Cadenhead’s Tasting – £30.00 Join us for The “Wee” Cadenhead tasting where we will highlight six hidden gems that have been bottled and are still available on the market within our stores. 3:45pm – Kilkerran Battle Of The Casks Tasting- £30.00 Compare and contrast Kilkerran from six different cask types in an intimate Kilkerran tasting for the wood fanatics. Sample, discuss and debate! 4pm: Cadenhead’s Warehouse Tasting 3 – £35.00 Enjoy six drams from our specially selected casks within one of our warehouses. All six casks will be newly launched in celebration of Campbeltown Malts Festival and will be exclusive to the tasting. Anyone who participates in our Cadenhead’s Warehouse Tasting will have the opportunity to purchase anything they have tasted at the end. 4pm: Cadenhead’s Warehouse Tasting 4 – £35.00 Enjoy six drams from our specially selected casks within one of our warehouses. Anyone who participates in our Cadenhead’s Warehouse Tasting will have the opportunity to purchase anything they have tasted at the end. 4:30pm: Kilkerran Cocktail Masterclass – £35.00 Once again, we have teamed up with a talented mixologist to showcase the alternative way to enjoy Kilkerran. You will get the chance to enjoy Kilkerran cocktails created by our guest mixologist alongside one of our sales team to discuss each of the whiskies used. PLEASE NOTE: All tastings on Friday 27th May are scheduled for 1 hour. Some of the tastings will overlap so please be aware of this when making your selections.
